Programme Requirements
To participate in our Apprenticeship Programme, you must meet the following requirements:
Bermudian, or spouse of a Bermudian
18 years or older (18 - 25 preferred)
Completed high school (or GED equivalent) and demonstrate the ability to complete a rigorous four-year programme
Able and willing to perform strenuous physical labour under adverse field conditions
Able and willing to travel overseas for training
Safety conscious mindset
Capable of thinking critically to solve technical problems
Demonstrates good work ethic, character and ability to work in team environments
Ability to handle industrial tools, equipment and materials
Able to pass hands-on and theoretically based tests at various stages
Successful passing of drug test

To apply for our Apprenticeship Programme, you must provide the following materials:

Complete an online application form
Attach a 500 word essay on why you wish to be employed at BELCO
Attach two written character references
Attach two written employment references (if applicable)
Attach transcripts from your highest level of education
The written test is comprised of three Sections:
Multiple choice (45mins)
Short answer (calculations) (30mins)
Long answer (written responses) (15mins)
The questions will be high school level equivalent.
The hands-on component will be an assessment of a candidates’ ability to assemble basic mechanical and electrical components. (40mins)
Written and hands-on testing will be performed on the same day.
